Abergavenny Library is a Grade II listed Carnegie library that has been refurbished to a high standard. We  celebrated our centenary in 2006. In addition to a range of books, videos and DVDs, we also have extensive IT facilities with free Internet access for all. We have excellent provision for under 5's, and support a housebound service for those who are unable to visit us in person.

Events

We often hold introductory talks for groups, describing the library and its facilities. There is a regular programme of evening events, including author visits, and we are a venue for Abergavenny Festival events. There are reading groups for adults, a Chatterbooks reading group for juniors, and story times for children during school holidays. Under 5's story times and baby rhyme times are held every week - please see our events listing for details. Just contact the library or ask a member of library staff if you need more information on any of the groups or activities listed.
