Sports Commentator and TV Presenter Colin Jackson is the latest celebrity to pledge his support to the ‘Happy Days’ campaign which demonstrates how libraries can make you happy!

Colin visited Coleg Powys and Newtown Library on 6th November as part of the Welsh Assembly Government's Happy Days campaign - encouraging you to take a fresh look at your library.

Colin has joined other Welsh celebrities including Ruth Jones, Gethin Jones, Cerys Matthews and Stuart Cable in supporting this campaign and visiting libraries across Wales.

Colin gave an inspiring motivational talk to students at Coleg Powys and encouraged them to keep learning new skills “because you never know what you might be doing in your 30s, 40s or even 50s!”

And at Newtown Library an audience of over 80 people enjoyed a lively question and answer session with Colin who said that his main reason for using libraries during his career has been as a reference point, somewhere to find out about the countries he is going to visit.

To find out more about the campaign, visit your local library or log on to www.library.wales.org/happy-days/

Happy Days is one element of the Libraries for Life marketing campaign, which is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government. The campaign is part of the Assembly Government’s commitment to deliver a thriving library network for the 21st century.
