Cerys Matthews and Stuart Cable were the latest celebrities to pledge their support for the ‘Happy Days’ campaign which demonstrates how libraries can make you happy!
Designed to encourage everyone to ‘take a fresh look at their library’ the campaign was recently launched by Assembly Government Heritage Minister Alun Ffred Jones and Ruth Jones at Barry Library.
Cerys Matthews popped into Swansea Metropolitan University on Wednesday 15th October to take a look around the library and meet some of the students.
Later that day, there was a question and answer session with Cerys and Stuart Cable at Swansea Central Library. Members of the public and invited guests were treated to a lively session where they had the opportunity to ask questions of their choice.
Speaking at the event Cerys said:
“I’m delighted to be part of this exciting campaign. Libraries are wonderful places, my children really enjoy their visits to our local library and I have great memories of rainy afternoons in libraries all over Wales. And you get so much for free - Happy Days here we come!”
