
• All local winners will automatically be entered into a long-list where a judging panel will select 18 national finalists
• There will be first, second and third prizes for all categories as follows:
• All national finalists will receive a commemorative plaque / trophy
• One primary school and one secondary school entry will be chosen from each county to win £50 high-street vouchers
• One individual (any age) will be chosen from each county to win £50 high-street vouchers
• One voluntary or community organisation will be chosen from each county to win £50 high-street vouchers
• Each Further Education institution in Wales will choose a winner to receive £50 high-street vouchers
• Each Higher Education institution in Wales will choose a winner to receive £50
high-street vouchers
• The 18 national finalists will be invited to an Awards Event at The Senedd, Cardiff on Monday, 22nd February 2010 where they will have the opportunity to meet the new celebrity champion for Welsh Libraries - Ruth Jones
• There may be an opportunity for finalists to perform their work at the Awards Event
• The 18 finalists will have their work exhibited nationally and local libraries
may also exhibit local entries
• All the local and national winners will have their entries shown on library.wales.org and local authority/institution websites where possible
• Local and national winners will be announced to the media
