Express Yourself

Could you write a poem, create a work of art or perform a play that would inspire people to visit their library?

More than 1600 people of all ages took up the Express Yourself challenge and submitted entries in all formats – creative writing, dance, drama, music, photography, sculpture and more.

18 winners were selected and the "creativity and imagination shown in all categories is amazing", said actress and writer Ruth Jones. List of winners' names.

The theme of the competition was ‘Libraries’.

A national exhibition showcasing the winners’ work is currently visiting venues across Wales so you can see the successful entries for yourself. Where and when can I see the winning entries?
Entries will also be available to view online shortly.

Winners were overjoyed to pick up their prizes at a special awards ceremony at the Senedd, Cardiff on 25 February 2010.
